Advisor Products Reviewed on the Beacon Blog
This is a post I’ve been looking forward to, as it references two old friends. Chip Kispert, who ran Techfi’s high-end sales force, now has his own consultancy practice called Beacon Strategies. He also has a blog where he reviews Advisor Products, which is owned by another friend of mine, Andy Gluck.
From Chip’s post:
My initial impression of Advisor Products, Inc. was that they build Web sites, brochures, and newsletters. Yes, they do that, but they do so much more. When challenged with creating our own brochure and Web site, I cannot tell you how many hours we struggled with writing our marketing copy and designing the graphics that would become our branding. … [Advisor Products] is a technology platform that helps build an advisor image. The staff of about 20 at Advisor Products includes: developers, graphical artists, Web designers, and a supportive customer service personnel.
Chip’s write-up breaks down Andy’s product offering and is a decent introduction to the world of advisor web sites. Advisor Products has a great reputation and should be the first stop of any advisor who needs a corporate web presence and professional marketing materials.
Andy used to write a technology column at Investment Advisor and now does it for Financial Advisor Magazine. I’m amazed that he still finds time to both write and run his company.

Matt,
I agree with your comments about Andy Gluck. I used to be on his advisor council to review newsletter content, software, etc. and always found him to be a real go-getter. My former employer was one of the first firms to use his newsletter service and it was interesting to see how Andy took that basic service and developed it into what it is today. He deserves to be successful because he really has added value to our industry on numerous fronts.
